MSE keeps turning off while using the computer

I have a Windows 7 x64 installation at work, and for some reason MSE keeps turning off, and I get a little popup telling me it is deactivated, and that I should turn it on. It happens most when I'm using my browser (Firefox), but I only visit specific websites that I have been using for years for work related functions. Turning on MSE takes forever.
