CPU 100% usage

Can any one help. My CPU is running at or near 100% since last night, sudden onset, after watching a live game on my computer (I switched batteries and then went back to Ethernet connection). Advised, and I have disabling Windows Update, Windows Search, Gadgets and it was of no significant help.
