Deleting mail from server only after multiclient download?

Not really a Win7 specific question but I'll give it a go anyhow. I have a non-tech sister who I bought an Android tablet for. After setting up an e-mail address for her on my personal domain I configured the tablet's mail as IMAP and, since she isn't yet on top of thing, also set my PC to sync the account so I can monitor what for now is non-personal e-mail.
