Can I create an image on a USB 2, 64 GB DataStick Pro - limitations?

Any posts touching this seem very old/off-topic, so I am hoping that starting a new thread will give me better results. I have only used Norton 360 to do backups, but it stinks ... fails on encrypted files and is tedious to use. I would like to make an image of my non-portioned C: drive to a USB2 stick. Will Windows 7 do this? My machine is 6 years old and is fine for now, but a HD/system...
