XCOM:Enemy Unknown - Keyboard Problem?

I should start by saying that the game runs great. No problems at all, except the keyboard functions don't seem to show up... I can't save the game by pressing any key. I don't know if F10 does a quick save or not. I can't exit the game unless I press ALT-F4. Am I doing something wrong, or do I have a keyboard problem? TIA
