trouble with avermedia m791 tuner on AMD Phenom II but ok on Intel boa

Any ideas why it hardly works on the HP AMD motherboard while it works perfect in the Asus intel core2duo motherboard? Avermedia m791 tuner PCIe ATSC is the device. I tried all sorts of things, moved card to various slots, uninstall-reinstall drivers, swapped coax antenna lines between tuners. Reception was terrible, pixelations, halting, breakup of picture.
