Mac filesize is in base 10 - no 1024 nonsense shock horror !!!

So there I was in a different forum, and the old chestnut 'why is my 1TB drive only showing 931GB' etc was going down . . . so I chipped in with binary decimal blah blah. One dude came back with 'hey - Macs show real filesizes in decimal' whaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttt !!! As it happens, I have a (never used) OSX in VMware - so I fired it up.
