High processor usage causing BSOD or Crash

So I have a trail of issues with my pc. I have solved most of the problems by backdating the bios, however now sometimes if I do anything processor intensive it shuts down. For example loading into games or running prime 95. This is where it gets odd, if I can run it for at least 2-3 mins I can run it for ages, close the program restart the program etc and it never has any problems. However...
