Assessment and Deployment Kit doesn't work in my Windows 7

version 8.59.25584 installed march 3, 2015 from Microsoft site. Says it works with 8.1, 7 etc. After starting the windows assessment console, and choose JOBS: Startup and Shutdown Experience, I get a popup window: x Version of Windows is not supported.
